Cons: Some people don't like these products because of their consistency or smell; does not thicken the vaginal lining
Vaginal estrogen ring
Pros: Helps keep vaginal tissue from thinning; small increased risks compared with higher doses of estrogen
Cons: Some absorption of estrogen into the body occurs but this is small
Estrogen (by mouth)
Pros: Helps keep vaginal tissue from thinning; also helps prevent bone loss; very effective against hot flashes

predicting menopause
The best predictors that a woman will enter menopause within 4 years include age, at least 50 years, amenorrhea for 3 to 11 months, and menstrual cycle irregularity within 12 months.
There is no single test that is specific enough to tell when a woman will get menopause, but there are many predictos, like the ones mentioned above.
